Roshan Gharana Scheme, Punjab:
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz recently unveiled the Punjab Solar Panel Scheme which is part of Roshan Gharana Scheme. It aims to provide 50,000 free solar panels to 200 or less electricity consumers in Punjab. The procedure for registration of Punjab Solar Panel Scheme has started.
Sindh Solar Panel Program
The Sindh Chief Minister recently launched the Sindh Solar Panel Project, which calls for distribution of 20,000 solar panels across Sindh and 50,000 solar panels exclusively for Karachi. PKR 7,000 solar panels will be given to people who live in remote areas, especially those who lack access to electricity.
KP Solar Panel Scheme
The KPK administration has also recently announced the distribution of around 1 lakh free solar panels.
Balochistan Solar Panel Scheme
Balochistan government has announced to distribute 50 thousand solar panels. Under the initiative, applicants will have to pay 25 percent of the total cost of the solar panels, the remaining 75 percent will be covered by the Balochistan government.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must be citizens of Pakistan.
- A valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) is required for all applicants.
- To install solar panels on a property, you must either own it or get permission from the owner.
Documents are required.
- Latest Electricity Bill
- Scanned copy of applicant’s CNIC;
- Documents proving ownership of the property or letter of permission from the owner
